The process for joining Rotaract Long Beach is meant to be a fun and enjoyable experience in which you, as an applicant, learn more about us and we learn more about you!

Becoming a member takes two to three weeks on average and involves attending multiple events, learning about how to succeed as a member of Rotaract Long Beach and deciding if our organization is the right fit for you, and vice versa.

How do you become a member?

The membership process has five steps:

    1. Fill out the online Contact Us form to express interest.
    2. Attend one service event, one social event, and one meeting.
    3. Read the Membership Benefits and Membership Criteria.
    4. Fill out the online membership application.
    5. Submit your application for Final Review.

How do you know if your application is approved?
Once you submit your application, the Board of Directors will evaluate the content and assess if your goals align with the organization. Once a decision is made, you will be contacted via phone or email and invoiced for your initiation fee and membership dues. Official membership will be recognized at the first meeting after this payment is submitted.

Is there cost to membership?

We ask members to pay a minimal first-time and annual fee to help sustain the club's activities and service engagements. There is a one-time $25 new member initiation fee covering personalized club-related items such as t-shirts, pins, and membership badges.

The annual dues are recurring payments that entitle you to attend all general meetings, service projects, and most social events at no extra cost. It is worth noting that your employer may be willing to pay all or part of your financial obligations.

Are there additional criteria to membership?

We ask all applying members to be between the ages of 18 and 30, per Rotary International requirements.  Prospective members at or near the age of 30 can be connected with our Sponsoring Rotary club to learn more about potential membership in the organization.
